Stainless steel pegs are the handiest essential for your clothesline and wash routine! Stainless steel pegs are the better and more eco-friendly alternative to plastic or even timber pegs, as they offer you a much longer life span, and save excess waste ending up in landfill.

Benefits of Stainless Steel Pegs

  • 100% plastic-free
  • Won't get hot in the sun
  • Single piece of wire can't snap or break at the join
  • Resistant to rust
  • Eco friendly
  • Strong - hold clothes down
  • Lasts way longer than plastic!

We offer two varieties of stainless steel pegs available in packs of 30 pegs and come with a handy 100% natural jute bag that is compostable.

Grade 304: 60mm length (wire diameter of 2mm)

Grade 316: 58mm length (wire diameter of 1.7mm)

Grade 304 Stainless Steel
The “tough” grade for higher corrosion and rust resistance can be left outside except in coastal areas. *Not appropriate for coastal locations - see our 316 grade below. Appropriate for windy conditions.

Grade 316 Stainless Steel
The “marine” grade and the toughest, anti-rust steel pegs available. Ideal for families who live near the beach.

100% Jute
Compostable (Jute Bag)

+ Do Stainless Steel Pegs Leave Marks on Clothing?

Stainless steel pegs won't leave rust marks on clothing, as they are designed to cater to the weather and salt (provided you have selected the #316 grade if you are coastal).

They are made with the highest quality stainless steel and are highly durable. They offer a way to avoid easily broken plastic pegs ending up in landfill and broken small pieces ending up in your garden.

+ Can You Leave Stainless Steel Pegs Outside?

Stainless steel pegs are fine left out in the weather as they won't rust nor be damaged given their durability and high-quality composition. Ensure you buy the correct grade for your environment.

+ How Many Clothes Pegs Do I Need?

The number of pegs required will be determined by the number of people in your household and also if you are using cloth nappies, reusable baby wipes and reusable pads all together. Given that a cloth nappy family will be washing 2-3 days worth of nappies for drying, we do recommend 2 bags of pegs as a minimum for families using cloth/reusables.
